The Houston Heights in Texas can be located North of the I-10 highway, South of Loop 610 and West of Highway 45. It is in the Northwest-Central zone and is a short commute away from Downtown Houston. The area can also be found under the Houston 77008 zip code.

Oscar Martin Carter, a self-made millionaire, founded the Houston Heights. He planned it to be a quiet town within the outskirts of Downtown Houston. He then developed new homes in The Heights to attract middle class home buyers. This all happened more than a hundred years ago, making Houston Heights one of the oldest planned community in the state of Texas.
